-Develop professional relationships with the growers in the assigned geographic areas and provide insight to management on economic conditions related to each crop variety during the season.
-Develop annual crop plan by growing region and fruit variety necessary to support the annual Healthy Fruit business units annual operating plan. Provide weekly/monthly updates to the annual crop plan as the season progresses.
-Maintain all necessary crop receipt and reporting necessary to support the business needs.
-Stay current on agronomy practice changes, varietal program developments, -FSMA requirements to enable the company to remain in a competitive position with the industry.
-Manage the strawberry supply and over all fruit delivery schedule to the plants.
-Align Field Team Objectives with Sales and Company Objectives.
-This person will work directly with Plant Operations to align fruit deliveries and fruit forecasts on a daily basis.
-Maintain necessary documentation around pesticide use and food safety practices of providing growers.
-Inspect and evaluate field food safety practices of providing growers on a consistent schedule during the harvest season.
-Gain a full understanding of each growers capabilities including an understanding of their business position and crop potential.
-Consistently gather critical information on quantity, quality, and varieties from providing growers and communicate to necessary parties.
-Serves as the go-to source for industry knowledge.
-Maintain strong involvement with the California Strawberry Commission and -Processing Strawberry Advisory Board of California.
-Adheres to company GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures and all other quality processes.
-Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required.
-All other duties as assigned

Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Ag Business, Ag Science, or related fields (Horticulture degree preferred).


-This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of Experience with strawberries or other IQF/Fresh Fruit business.
-Must be fluent in Spanish
-Knowledge of general agricultural industry and farming techniques.
-Thorough knowledge of strawberry cultural practices marketing trends, tendencies and procedures.
-Knowledge of company policies relating to Grower/members, member services, payment programs and procedures.
-Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook).
-Has a proven and successful track record of delivering results.
-Strong leadership skills with enthusiasm, initiative and a passion for results.
-Ability to solve challenging problems prioritizes, meet deadlines and work with minimal direction.
-Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills.
-Ability to create momentum and foster organizational change.
