Truly collector worthy, historical gear. Each cost $1k in their day and the build quality of these is absolutely outstanding. Both are in great condition and fully functional.
My daughter had been using the Onkyo for the last few years with her turntable, but she moved. The Sony I no longer had room for after changing around my system. So, I want to get these in the hands of someone who’ll appreciate them. I don’t have the remotes for either one, but they’re not hard to get replacements for. Also the headphone level control knob disappeared on the Sony. That shouldn’t be hard to replace either - if you cared to.
The Onkyo TX-SV7M is said to be the first Dolby Surround A/V receiver sold in the U.S. and Canada, way back in the all-analog days of 1987. The receiver retailed for $1,000 and that was a lot of money in the late 80s!

The Sony DVP-S7000 was launched in March 1997 in Tokyo, Japan. When the DVP-S7000 began to hit US & UK shores, it was one of the most prestigious and exciting of first generation DVD players. As ever with Sony’s ‘first’ ever products – it was crazily over engineered.

The firm price for the pair is only $245. I am looking for cash, but would consider working out a trade for an Ibanez JTK1 or an Epi Nighthawk.
